A Poem by ANR

I cannot wash your blood off my hands.
I am the woman no one can stand.
I bury bodies deep in the sand.

Tell me Mama,
what was I like before the storm hit?
Before I was decieved, murdered, and hid?
Was I a sweet, darling kid?
I will never again be that girl,
cuz she's no longer me.
Oh, I will never go backwards,
and unleash what's inside me.

I cannot wash your blood off my hands.
I am the woman no one can stand.
I bury bodies deep in the sand.

Tell me Daddy,
what was I like before the world died?
Before my heart crumbled and my tears dried?
Was I the kid that lied and said, "I'm fine"?
I will never again fall for lies,
that I am beautiful,
and worth your time.

I cannot wash your blood off my hands.
I am the woman no one can stand.
I bury bodies deep in the sand...
