This was very well written and for the most part, you kept the rhythm and movement constant, which you don't find often in new WC writers. The only thing that didn't work for me was the rhyme of lives and outside, but that's just my opinion. Every other rhyme woked well, though. I also loved the idea of the poem, which was something I don't read about often. You really brought the emotion through and I enjoyed reading this peice.
