the little girl

the little girl

A Poem by Ida

Imagine a lonesome little girl

With no good friends at all

Imagine her day-to-day twirl

And her struggles; big and small

She wonders confused, lost and alone

Thinking about if life is worth living

Or of there is a god on a golden throne

Who are looking down on her, laughing.

She finds no meaning with this life

No love, only harsh words and hate

These words stab her heart like a knife

Maybe she should die, is that her fate?

For too long she thinks these thoughts

Her miserable sad soul slowly weakens

And her outer world only sees her faults

And the dark world continually reawakens

But one day love and happiness came

And put a smile on her lonesome face

But the course of fate was not to blame

Now the day was bright and out of its daze

Her heart was now full of joy and bliss

Finally her outer world truly see

How good a person she really is

And that little lonesome girl was me…

AW this is really cute.
the picture is very befitting as well, and the reason i picked this poem to read.
good job describing lonliness, and i like at the end how she (you?) was finally happy.
im glad you found love and happiness!
