speaking death

speaking death

A Poem by idiotproof--1
"

for a contest about verbal abuse

"

They speak tiny daggers

You can read them in her skin

Their words are deadly poison

It’s already killed him

She’s been drowning in the things they say

Everyone can see that now she is different

They can tell that she is not the same

The things they said left her broken and bent

They poisoned her mind till all that’s left isn’t her

She has fallen apart and can’t be put together

He screams in the night but nobody cares

Because his words aren’t as strong as theirs

They finally told him to pull the trigger

What he said next tasted bitter

His words hit harder than any of theirs

And because his heart was full of tares

He told them his last words and felt a pain deep within

To everyone who hurt me

 You win
