Still, I Cry

Still, I Cry

A Poem by Texas Identitycrisis

Inside is never silent

and there are others

also hurting and frightened,

beside isolated self.

You are unaware of our presence.

The leaning moments

of your dark displeasure

became associated

by miserable memory,

to my open heart, strong shoulders.

Why perceived distortion?

Of the knower of ugly secrets,

who slashed at illusions of weakness.

Deny association and ignore?

Despite that I enjoyed every moment

no matter the circumstance, felt love.

But leaning back has NEVER

been an option, my silly dilusion.

Expecting sweet divine friendship?

An overwhelming need,

for just a little caring.

The depts of lonely heartache

always left, leaning on rejection.

Reaching all time lows tonight,

I am only somewhat useful.

People can be so selfish.
