I Can Still Smile

I Can Still Smile

A Poem by Texas Identitycrisis

I can still smile at some things.

These times, danger lurks.

Or is it propaganda, jerks?

Even though there's lots of hate.

Venom like the kind of snakes.

In torure chamber, doom of fate.

Dodging life, so much at stake.

Planned, distaste of wrong reaction

Logic really needs no explanation

I can still smile at some things.

i think you're sacrificing a lot to make this a rhyming poem, and it isn't worth it. By rearranging the order of words or the way you phrase things in order to rhyme, you sacrifice having good lines. If you have to make a poem unpoetic in order to rhyme, then don't rhyme, and write something poetic. (i sure as hell can't rhyme and still have good lines)
