Be Mine

Be Mine

A Poem by Texas Identitycrisis

Looking for you
casually stirring, trolling
unidentified emotional loss
Memory, unrelenting crack
holes I fill with denial
Love will not be mine

If you feel moved to
forgive time too
Demand of you not
what my heart wants
Decline sanity
I wonder about deadlines

Torn away
ripping flesh
pulsing no more
I see my own heart
laying on the floor
To pick it up or not

Save the fear of feeling
like the scream of needing air
It'll tear me apart, rejection
Looking the other way
I pretend not to care
You will not be mine
