Numb Princess

Numb Princess

A Poem by X Sandra X
"

When the princess lost her prince she knew love wasnt worth the risk.

"

Princess owns a beauty that few would deny.

With rosebud lips, and emerald eyes.

Brown silk in her hair, and sweet scarlet cheeks.

Naturally graceful she floats with ease.

No one dare catch this uncrowned princess,

As she dances on hearts across this vast distance.

Her speech is all silver, her laughter is gold,

Yet her heart is black, and she is all cold.

She'd trample any soul who stands in her way,

Nightmares of Prince haunt her everyday.

She hide under the stars to await his return.

But his love was like fire, it went out, and it burns.

As she melts away, her love never returns,

Prince found Damsel, and forgot all about her.

So forever and ever she'll endlessly dance,

Never love again never take the chance.

This is a well written poem, really enjoyed reading it. And it gave me a few ideas about you.

wow, It loses flow once or twice yet it has a message that is so clear. With you being 20 yrs old, i can't fathom how you found these words without being a princess. I know my poems document my life, my experiences and I know no other way to write cept from my heart. even in darkness write, you are beautiful
always,
Don

This poem made me think about how sometimes our feelings are hurt to an extent were we are just afraid to "feel" again.
