Selling Pop CultureA Poem by PlantGluerThis poem is about the world in which we are consuming.
When will you stop?
When will you turn off the radio and unplug the TV? All these television shows telling you to buy buy buy. You accept that reality shows aren't really true. But the emotion of jealousy and want will always be there. The feeling of aggression and drama is more normal than before. When will you stop consuming this madness? You turn on the radio and every song is for you. Broken hearts, Broken dreams, Apathy or sorrow. You can't escape these feelings as long as they're on. Every song is pushing some negative feeling. Can you see? Can you hear? All this culture is to buy buy buy. Fill the spoon fed emotions with your toys, boats, woman and booze. And soon. They'll get you on the anti-depressants too.
