everything's a metaphor...

everything's a metaphor...

A Poem by ICS

everything's a metaphor
with intellectual appeal
the truth's to split a wooden floor
like water by a seal

diving    d e  e   p    e     r

d     e    e   p  e r    still
where motion is a virtue
seems everything has lost it's thrill
should lack of movement hurt you

I'm between where you were
and where you want to be
I'm the present for the world
for everything is me.

this moment is change
it's all that's here
would you call it strange
to live with fear?

I think I would
if I weren't you
to say I could
await anew

watching sand
through the neck
seamless band
every fleck

Not sure I completely understand what's going on in this piece, but that's not to say I didn't enjoy it. Sometimes I think people can be too anylitical when it comes to poetry, and then they miss the "experience" of it all. I really liked the "feel" of this one.
