down down down

down down down

A Poem by ICS

the notes go
I feel you in a forest
journeying purple skies
garnishing puffy delights
pausing not
save your change

trek on past
our present flow
our futures here
so let ours go
slow
m o t i o n

whiptastic sling around
of arms in a slurry
wraps around minds like
mister Fast in a hurry

avenues
reflecting fractal light
cold iron street lamps
rain
Are they folds of mind?
are lighted streets kind?
What of a circle, a lane or a drive?
shall it be a foggy night
not a single sign in sight

Then let's call it the "Path"
of that which we chose
we'll follow the math
like stem to the rose

there's thorns on the way
and much time to pass
before we're a petal
that falls to the grass
