I Thought You Said Weast

I Thought You Said Weast

A Poem by isellmysoultostrangers
"

heartbreak phase 1-deflection/projection

"

Hey, east coast,

I bet you taste like home to her

all wrapped up in streets she remembers

i wonder when we

fell apart if i

could have noticed

or if it even mattered

i wonder with a

different start

would we paint ourselves

a happier ending?

i thought-a classic

mistake of mine-

i thought i had

a chance this time

Hey, east coast,

do you ever question how it feels

ever wonder; is all of this real?

i wonder why it

seems to always fade

with the light inside

my once bright eyes

i wonder if im

In her thoughts tonight

when she turns off

the lights

If i cant tell her

all about my day

is there a reason

to remember anything?

Hey, east coast,

can you feel like desert sunrise?

do you enjoy the fog of frigid mornings?

Hey, east coast,

Do you think she has it in her?

another broken heart club top contender
