Smirk

Smirk

A Poem by The Concept of Completely Lacking Something

The mysterious man, with an even more mysterious smirk.
I see him every day.
All the time.
He just stands there, smirking at me.
And I know it's at me, because I've seen him standing right next to me.
He was just smirking.
He never says anything.
It's just the same thing, everywhere I go.
Maybe he's shy, or he's thinking of something funny; I just happen to catch his eye.
Not that I'm saying that I'm eye-catching.
I'm the exact opposite.
Or maybe I'm not to him.
Who knows?
Next time I see him, though,
I'll just walk up and say,
"Hello."
