Karma Always Calls

Karma Always Calls

A Poem by icelandicblue

She was a poison apple of a woman,
black star eyes and crimson lips.
Her beauty a facade,
a viper's nest of want.

So much waste was left in her wake.
A life built on the innocence of others
until the day that she met her match.
He came for her with open arms

and she ran into them without reserve
for she had always been the predator.
His shadow grew along with her alarm
until he pulled her down into the deeps.

And there she still lies like all the rest,
a mass of silken rags and tufts of hair
coiled around her earthen bones
but her soul....

well her soul is afire with
deeds that she will get
to relive from the other side
for an eternity.

oh yes, what goes around comes back around...love the poison apple of a woman....at least Eve had good intentions towards Adam...just made a bad mistake...the woman in this poem has bad intent...

should enjoy her fire on the other side.

engaging poem.

Passable...shouldn't use my iPhone for these little boxes.
The poem was very captivating. A story of retribution for wickedness untold and the cosmic law of returns. I believe in karma from my own experiences as I have received bad when I have been bad and good when I was good. Karma is a reality. Thank you for a great story.

Karma is patient and not always kind. Thank you so much Divya for your kind thoughts.

You are welcome. It was a pleasure reading this poem.
"Her beauty a facade," made me think of a song from years back by a Canadian band, The Northern Pikes, their one hit wonder "She ain't pretty, she just looks that way"
An interesting piece of writing, I enjoyed how the table was turned for your heroine.

Hello Poppy! Thank you so much for taking the time to read and comment.
Eh . . . It seems everyone has thoughts of . . . Tomorrow . . . And as well we should. I'm in the "reincarnation" mindset. Karma does exist however, I am a firm believer of that thought, or so I assume that thought when someone meets their comeuppance down the road. Enjoyed this poem.
