Code 187

Code 187

A Poem by icelandicblue

Blood splatter like tear drops
fall against cracked plaster,
blue booties traipse through the carnage
and ask who would sculpt such a thing?

Eyes open in surprise, another 187 in progress
but the boys in blue are too late
to stop the slow freeze that comes
before the long eternal thaw.

Forensic love written in code,
a sociological excavation
into the mind of someone who has nothing
left to lose except his humanity.

Kinda creepy cop thriller piece. I like it

I could only imagine how hard it must be for the crime-scene investigator to come into such savage aftermath. A very strong write, icy blue.

this is gut wrenching...as corset said...such controversy, such hard decisions...and what we live with afterward...those blue booties traipsing through the blood stained conscience.

oh man this is heartbreaking, your talent jumps from the page in this raw but captivating write, the wrongful death of a fetus, you have taken up a subject of much controversy and never ending dilemma
for pro life. wonderful writing, hardest decision a human has to ever make, short of pulling a plug on a beloved vegetable.

This was very sad Icelandicblue. Pain and sadness flow from your words tonight. It has been a while since I have read one from you, this was definitely worth the wait. I really enjoyed this.
