A Different Shade of Azure

A Different Shade of Azure

A Poem by icelandicblue

The moon dances happily

upon the rippled sea.

While the sweet salt air

calls desperately to me.

I feel its pull beyond

the marrow in my bones.

When she speaks my name

I know I’m not alone.

The rhythm of the waves

resets my beating heart.

In azure shades of calm

I am formed into fine art.

Far from the raging storms

lost to sweet tranquility.

I can only bow my head

and offer my humility.

I find the sea to be calming too. Like the narrator, I run an eternal race to get to tranquility. I feel a close kinship with this narrator.

Thanks CSG- you truly are the best.
I love the ocean and ive always found a sense of rebirth there. A calming regenerative experience. The smell of the salt air...the sound of the waves. Walking on the sand barefoot with ocean breezes on your face...sigh. I would love to live near the water. I love this poem...;-)

Thank red-

I love the ocean too. I have never lived far from it.
