Am pulled to a childhood memory, of being on the Pacific Ocean, with my dad, salmon fishing. Of the tranquility and the different scents, which embraces your soul that doesn't exist, on the Great Lakes, living mere minutes away, from Lake Ontario's shores.

Your words have settled comfortably in my imagination, and painted a multitude of mental pictures. This piece takes me to a different place every time I read it. Living on the east coast, I find myself looking out at the ocean a lot, and the rhythm of the waves never fail to reset my beating heart...I like the blue font's aesthetic touch as well. Lovely work my friend.

I'm happy you were transported! Thanks Einstein : )
The rhythm of the waves
resets my beating heart.
In azure shades of calm
I am formed into fine art.
There is something so soothing and peaceful about the ocean - the ebb and flow of tide - the soft sound of the waves sweeping the shore...
Your poem is lovely!

Thank you and I totally agree regarding the peaceful aura of the ocean.
I do not accept any new friend requests unless we have read and commented on each others poetry. No exceptions. I have enough homework as it is. I expect reciprocity in our exchanges. Read my work and.. more..
