Unencumbered

Unencumbered

A Poem by icelandicblue

The vapor of the winter moon
surrounds her and the filtered light
blurs the stars transporting her
away from now into the never ending.

She is but a speck of dust in the universe,
her essence bright enough to rival
the sparkle of the snow beneath her feet
and the halo of the sky above her head.

There are arabesques and jettes
awaiting in the lemon mist for
the Renaissance girl to find her wings
and dance beneath the canopy of eternity.

Thanks so much, it's nice to be writing about other things.
I'm not going to repeat what was already copied but those are some hugely impressive lines Anne! I'm especially enamored with the second stanza, it's total serenity. Heck, I adore the every line, just a stunner my friend. Brava!

I was elated to see the title, and read something other than you know what ;-)

After reading this stanza, I had to sit and take a moment to take it all in because otherwise my mind would have blown at how amazing this poem is and that stanza was just the icing on top of a beautiful chocolate cake.

This is absolutely fantastic, everything about it is perfect. You know I am a huge fan and adore your poems... I am thrilled you're back and writing again. xo
