Along The FaultA Poem by icelandicblue
Beneath the deepest drifts
there sits an avalanche of emotion in stasis, frozen and waiting for the ice to melt, biding time.. until the warm breath of rebirth blows across the chords of hope and fear in equal measure. Cautious steps along the fault guide me toward the vastness of the ice-imbued sea. My breath clouds escape despite the icy grasp of failure upon my throat that moans and cracks beneath my resolve, still the first notes of victory escape from the space between parted blue lips. © 2014 icelandicblueReviews
