Some of us are stoic and strong and we deal with our pain in the ways we know work for us. Ultimately none of us truly endure we exist, we persevere, we deal and we hope the pain will fade, and it does for short periods only to return as a tsunami that brings us to our knees, tears or not it does not matter. There is no escape only moments of comfort and moments of torment. Thank you for reading, I know it means something to us both.

And I wouldn't want someone else's pain to diminish my own. I own my pain and the world keeps spinning in spite of it. Just my thoughts, I'm not trying to be contrary but you own what you own, I guess what you do with it is what counts.

You know all have processed it but what it leaves behind is so individual, Sharing it helps but I don't want to "Rain" on peoples parades, So I write and they can sift through, and walk away more prepared for their day. (I hope)
Loss is felt so sharply this time of year, and it is sometimes difficult not to weep in the midst of all the joy... This piece brings the emotion, Blue. Beautifully written.
Having lost both parents near the holidays - your poem is one that I can relate to - I weep, but the tears are for me missing them.
Weep not for me this Christmas
as you lay the Yuletide boughs.
I am free from all this sickness,
I am at peace I can avow.
Simply beautiful. You have touched my heart.

I know so many people (myself included) who have had someone die on or very near a holiday. Christmas is the most common as it spans a period of weeks.
A very well written work, and one I can relate to. My Mother died on July 4, 1983. The holiday has not ever been the same since for me or my sisters.

Thank you Mark. The holidays don't always come with ribbon wrapped memories. Thank you for reading.
I like the tribute over the gravesite of a loved one lost.
We all have our beliefs allowing us to process the death of the physical body...
Still, there is a hope beyond the grave for the spirit the body once housed. Life is ageless and eternal.
Yes, we should celebrate these lives this holiday.
This is intricately poised with grace and understanding...
Really moved me hon, deeply...so many times do we miss loved ones that we don't think on their release from pain, as such...tis hard...
Lovely write x

Oh thanks so much Poppy. It seems death is a two way street and a difficult one to cross.
wow, this is so touching, so truly heart felt and heart wrenching, but so full of the most profound serenity and acceptance that i find myself in that precious space between grief and joy, and my heart, not knowing what to do, finds the moment sublime. Excellent work this loving tribute :)

I'm not sure, but I think this is about Jesus. If so or not, the words are so loving and caring. The structure of this piece is equally, elegant and tender. This is very, very touching. Like this, thank you for creating this beautiful composition.
