A Sliver Against The TreesA Poem by icelandicblueTwilight, the most bewitching of moments, where colors spill from a painter’s palette and fill the sky with the heated hues, that blaze beyond my myopic world.
Fall’s frigid air thick and heavy displaces my weariness. I am Sisyphus cursed with a burdensome stone burnished smooth by insanity.
Here in the betwixt I am at my most content. Free from harsh daylight and the deadened cloak of night I linger, a sliver against the trees,
reveling in this limbo hour where demands lie still and the beat of my heart slows allowing a deep fresh breath
…of nothing.
