Sequined DreamsA Poem by icelandicblue
Innocence or ignorance?
Perhaps today pure happenstance, dig your heels and point your toes, follow where the warm wind blows. Pursue it while it gently sways, for these are wine and roses days. Sweetly seen through big blue eyes, find your footing near the rise. Sing your songs, now don’t be shy. Tap your feet in mock surprise, soft green turf your carpet now, lose the furrow of your brow. Things you know and that to learn, bundle up your grave concerns, throw them into canyons wide, for life’s bounty will provide. A wanderer on dusty roads, shedding all your heavy loads. Breathe in deeply, cool and clear, skip on paths and feel no fear. Keep your head above the clouds. All alone? So laugh out loud! Finer things await your hands, sequined dreams and golden sands. Ply thy wonder of all sights, rest by hearty firelight, don your hat a tad askew, believe that love will see you through. © 2013 icelandicblueFeatured Review
