The Sinner's Club

The Sinner's Club

A Poem by icelandicblue

Choices divide
us, we saints
and sinners.

Traversing lines
of minuscule width-
driven by faith
we foolishly balance like
gymnastic school dropouts,
wavering and wobbling  in
decadent style.

And only the fall of paragons
unites us in our
glorious flawed humanity,
for then we all gleefully dance
beneath the shadow side of the moon.

Only the fall of paragons unites us in our glorious flawed humanity. My humanness is hanging out all over the place these days. I love that line though. Such a truthful poem.
