Quiet Contemplation

Quiet Contemplation

A Poem by icelandicblue
"

Something light

"
Quiet contemplation
At the apex of the morn
Quiet immolation
Precedes the sun reborn

Ghostly mist swept away
To places up on high
As the sword of each new ray
Deftly slices through the sky

A cacophony of sound
Builds to a crescendo
And often I have found
It's time to close the window

Early morning pondering before the world crashes in. I've always enjoyed that. Wonderful poem Anne!

Great couple of lines here. I also love the last stanza. The birds arising. Am I right? I love that they finally erupt in a symphony it brings the poem to a great finish. Beautiful work! Great rhyme with "crescendo" and "window."

Thank you so much Marie.
This is different to your other writes at the moment, that's good. You know, no matter what, in some way or another there will always be a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel, Blue - this is a lovely write.

"As the sword of each new ray
Deftly slices through the sky"

-- I love the imagery in this one, lovely. And as for the wording, amazing as always.
