Luminous Tears Of HeavenA Poem by icelandicbluePerseid Meteor Showers
It was always August
and deep into the night when I would carry you all down to a chaise on the lawn. Sleepily you would turn on your sides with tousled hair and rosy cheeks and I would whisper for you to open your eyes, open them wide. There were wonders awaiting from Perseus himself, Cassiopeia smiling brightly at his dazzling display across the constellations. Sleep slowly scattered and the sky showered us with perfect tears of light that cut across the heavens. Slumber gave way to reverence. Serenaded by the sound of crickets and our own hushed breathing as we waited for the next extraordinary exhibit. There under the umbrella of stars we small specks of dust glowed beneath the magical canopy of a most resplendent universe © 2013 icelandicblueFeatured Review
