This is fantastically concise and yet still so hard hitting. I love the emotion here, and the way you bring to life something tangible in an almost personified way. Innocence has never been described in this way, or at least not that I have seen, so kudos to you for a great write!

Your welcome.
I feel a double meaning into this fine poem. It has not to be sugar coated, but just to let melt in the rain, for it's the truth, it shall find the gutter, when the stream says so.
Nice work...

So do yours with me dear, It's so good to have you here on the Cafe, wonderful work always!
it's almost like this is referring to a false innocence...a mask of a person that washes off in the rain of truth...and sullies even the sewer with its stench...
fantastic write, in so few words, giving us something abstract to put our heads around...yet saying all that needs to be said.
I do not accept any new friend requests unless we have read and commented on each others poetry. No exceptions. I have enough homework as it is. I expect reciprocity in our exchanges. Read my work and.. more..
