Today

A Poem by icaros13

Liquid gold dripping through tiny vernal leaves
Of newly awakened trees
The seductive voice of water spilling over stones
Small people scurrying about their small tasks
Blues filling the air, a bit too loud
Hours that pass in moments
Surreal, dreamlike
Words that need to be free
Hang in my throat, I dare not cheapen this day
Surrounded by beauty, speaking to pulchritude
Today, I am not alone
I would weep, if only I could

. your poetic vision and voice are astounding ... there's such depth in the scene and the way you connect to them ...

"Words that need to be free

Surrounded by beauty, speaking to pulchritude"

. phenomenal work ... work that i'm ashamed i did not unearth earlier ...

About
For we have thought the larger thoughts And gone the shorter way. And we have danced to devil's tunes, Shivering home to pray; To serve one master in the night, Another in the day. ..I do love.. more..
