Healing

Healing

I have been lost in love
I have loved and lost;
Adhesion sheathed heart
Reluctant to feel

I thought it the truth
To love is to bleed;
To know and be known
I must give up my Self

It is not my way
To shirk my pain;
I relish each spasm
And contortion of Soul

So I took your hand
Expectant of hurt;
A man-child seething,
Constricting and drawn

But our love is divergent
With no beginning, no end
Older than time
New as the Spring

Your grace has transformed
My scars into light;
Fears into courage,
And weakness to strength

It hasn't been easy
But one thing I've learned,
Is that conflict and differences
Are places to grow

Love lessons do teach us.
"Your grace has transformed
My scars into light;
Fears into courage,
And weakness to strength"
I agree and I like the above lines. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

About
For we have thought the larger thoughts And gone the shorter way. And we have danced to devil's tunes, Shivering home to pray; To serve one master in the night, Another in the day. ..I do love.. more..
