Reminds me of a friend of mine. It is sad to be denied by those who claim to be for all..But the lure of power is like that..and I am sure those that do, will answer to their ancestors..
The important thing..You know.. who you are and what that means ( :
well I believe we all have indian blood,my great grand mother married my great grand father
you can look at there photos and plain to see the Cherokee in them both,him more than her
We are all states of matter, relating earth to the solid state, water to liquid, air to gaseous and fire to plasma. but I am not a scientist or a God.....I am a spirit :)
The old indian in the "keep it beautiful America" that captured every ones heart was Italian, not native, but his soul was native. He dressed , spoke, lived the native life, sometimes it's more about attitude and desire than blood, kinda like a man being a bio father and never stepping up and someone being a foster dad and raising a kid with all his heart. who's the real father, Indian? ps, I loved this :)

Because of this, there are many that say "You're not Cherokee", or call me a "wannabe". I have no interest in joining a corporate/political organization for which you have to be a member of the "union" to enjoy certain benefits or gain employment. To me, being native is a way of life.

For we have thought the larger thoughts
And gone the shorter way.
And we have danced to devil's tunes,
Shivering home to pray;
To serve one master in the night,
Another in the day.
..I do love.. more..
