Observations

A Poem by icaros13
"

_

"
Of all the colors
On love's pallet
Young love is
The brightest
No matter your age

Long love is
The grandest
In strength and
In scale

Unrequited love
Is maddening,
Excruciating,
Beautiful agony

But the best,
The very best of love
Is this;

The wishing
The waiting,
The watching,
The wondering,
The worry,
The wanting
The knowing

I'm so glad you are writing again, you come and go, it's always a treat when you post a new one. This pretty much sums up all three types and the descriptions are spot on.

:: very skillfully articulated... and so true... the journey is phenomenal and reveals new hues of the aesthetic universe each and every time... despite accompanying sadness (if sadness is around)... what i love most about love is the fact that it's beyond being a victim of transactions no matter how much we try to calculate loss and gain and try to 'act' accordingly...

This is delicious. I applaud your economy of language. You didn't use one word more than was absolutely necessary. I was craving something good and this hit the spot.

About
For we have thought the larger thoughts And gone the shorter way. And we have danced to devil's tunes, Shivering home to pray; To serve one master in the night, Another in the day. ..I do love.. more..
