Wanderlust

Wanderlust

I came by it honest,
This wanderlust.
Passed down from
Father to son.

A good mother
Taught me
To resist such
Flights of fancy;

Still, there are days...

My mind
Takes wing
And soars at
The wind's whim.

Everything in moderation... I wrote a piece about myself called "Who I Am", and this one really reminds me of what I was attempting to convey. From my father's side I got the Irish whims of fancy, the rolling in green feilds and sometimes running when things get rough; my mother was always the moderator of reality. Now I am a part of both worlds, as are you. Nicely penned.

About
For we have thought the larger thoughts And gone the shorter way. And we have danced to devil's tunes, Shivering home to pray; To serve one master in the night, Another in the day. ..I do love.. more..
