Natalie, Amongst the Lightning

Natalie, Amongst the Lightning

A Poem by icaros13
"

"
Natalie, amongst the lightning,
Laughing at the thunder
She and Mother Earth are drunken
On long awaited rain

Now she's dancing with the raindrops
Did her feet just leave the ground?
Oblivious to danger
She is not afraid

Natalie, amongst the lightning,
In this perfectly pure moment
She and the raging storm;
They are the same

Beautifully written! I especially love lines 3 and 4. Your poem and your daughter's love of the rain both made me smile. Thank you for sharing!

About
For we have thought the larger thoughts And gone the shorter way. And we have danced to devil's tunes, Shivering home to pray; To serve one master in the night, Another in the day. ..I do love.. more..
