Simple PleasuresA Poem by icaros13_
Smoking up the Sunday Sun
With a pipefull of lovely tobacco Eavesdropping on conversations of Crows, As they warn of Hawks and talk of Winter A good single malt and cigar Both older than my children Watching my children working together Even if for mischief The dismay of my youngest when The thought of rabbit stew derived From the offspring of Peter and Midnight Was no longer so sad (it is also a distinct possibility) Discussing civil rights and boys and breakfast, Language and culture and spirituality With my eldest, my confidant and friend My life is rich, I possess much beauty I am grateful for what I have There are no lines between My friends and my family They are the same in every action Life is good © 2012 icaros13Featured Review
