Two Days Before Christmas

Two Days Before Christmas

Ex fiancé story. You can draw your own conclusions.

"

Twas 2 Days Before Christmas

And all through my house

Not a creature stirring.

Not Even a Mouse

But as I walked through the door

Crossing my threshold

I hear strange noises coming out of my bedfold.

After working all day I had to walk home

My fiancé had the car and took off alone

Two jobs, one income, and a promise of life.

Through hardships and wonder we carried our strife.

But the rainbow was coming to the other side

Our pot of gold almost in sight.

A year.  My promise.  As I took to the stairs

Up in my bedroom someone cooing with flare.

I opened the door and their on my bed

Lay my faithful fiancé getting beat red.

I stood a moment staring at the show

Even looked out the window at the falling snow.

When it was over he was gone

She was yelling a shrillful song.

I just stood and waited for a willing pause

Before with one breath I stated my clause

Get out.  Leave. Show some tact.

And I turned and left.  Gave her my back
