ShadowsA Poem by Ian CravenEvening shadows cast about, whispering secrets of fear and doubt. Ah yes a cursed day, a fading from amber to dark grey. A night of glory to shadow the moon, to hid the secrets of natures gloom. A persistent spirit of the past comes to capture the world at last. Has he enough time in the night or shall he be overcome in the light? He has a time that is his own, but the day is dawning when he must find a home. Cast from earth into a sea, his shadow no longer will there be. Only then the light will remain and all who know it will declare his name. © 2015 Ian Craven |
