A hand for you

A hand for you

A Poem by Ujjwal Jaiswal

I wished a hand to come and rescue me
Out of the hell I don't belong to
Carry me away from the one I'm not
Believe in me and take me for granted

I wished a hand to come and rescue me
On whose shoulders i can shed my tears
Who can manage the shuddering me
On whom I can rely and tell every instance of past

I wished a hand to come and rescue me
Who can dress me up for the outer world
And push me to do the things I don't want to
Who will never leave my hand

But to my surprise no hand did come
One day I gazed at the blue sky brimming with aves
And I walked out from the hell myself
The birds were meeting sky without a hand
A pair of wings were enough for them
I too had another hand

Author's Note

Ujjwal Jaiswal
Discovery of inner self is sometimes greater than any other discovery on the planet. We never know what potential we have hidden in ourselves. Just like jumping and dancing, listening and understanding are different concerns.
