Bella's temptation to Edward

Temptation

His liquid topaz eyes gaze through me,

as if searching for some clue to my undeniabley shallow human thoughts.

His scent sends my heart racing, my pulse aflutter,

my mind boggles, and our souls are entwined together until they are one.

Despite the danger, my love is absolutely pure and unwavering,

he lusts for my blood, to drink from my veins until his unquenchable thirst is gone,

just as I long for him to want me.

His ice cold skin sends up a shock up my body and I tingle with pleasure,

and his lips lift into a small smile, then I'm sure he can hear my human heart racing.

He raises my trembling hand, strokes it for a minute,

then gives it one, small, cold kiss.

Then I know.

He's mine, and he loves me.

My mind fills with unbridled ecstasy and my face radiates joy,

A small tear of joy rolls down my cheek, and all is righteous and good.

He grins that crooked smile,

and our eyes meet.

Eternity has never looked so delicious.
