A Chapter by roscoe

A pardon is assumed

for having surmounted

the apposition

between accolade

and incentive,

the divergence of

temptation,

and metaphor.

Alas, neither authority

nor experience

creates such a motive

as expressed

in genuine sacrifice,

a mark which will exist

to satisfy some,

but inspire many more.

Honorable pursuits

invigorate those

forgotten,

those beaten and

left for others to find.

How propaganda

insinuates association

is the manner by which

fate will conquer

each man alone,

so father, captain,

acknowledge

the ruin of result,

writhing with provocation

before assuring

the artlessness of debate

and refutation.

Our conquest will

gather no praise

so long as our

ambition remains

rooted in preference

and opinion.

Recognition is the

means to achieve

fulfillment in life,

so ensure our pursuits

remain humble,

and telling.

You really packed in a great deal of philosophy here roscoe.
I saw the line directing this conversation between father and son...
The paternal perspective is interesting.
I'll have to consider the conclusion about "recognition". I am inclined to agree with this perspective even if the only recognition comes from one being...
Very thought provoking.
