Answer Me?

Answer Me?

A Poem by iamshadowine

Can you tell me why I exist,
No feeling in my heart persist?
Can you tell me why I die,
Everyday a monotonous cry?
To change the past, or to strive,
For the better, or is it all a lie?

Nice sounding this poem has. And yes, we are always in the quest of finding out answers to these sort of questions, so it is a poem which applies to all of us.

Despite this being a rather short poem, it's simply amazing. There are so many questions left unanswered in our lives, but each one of us continues to live only wishing to find the answers to these questions. That may very well be the reason as to why we exist or one of the many. After all, who said that there's only one answer?
Anyways, great job and keep on writing. I look forward to reading more of your writing in the future. ^~^

thank you so much
I doubt we'll ever really understand why we exist, and why there has to be so much pain involved. But I believe there is a purpose to it. Even if we don't recognize it now, there is a reason for our being here. Very emotive for such a short piece. Nice work!

In a way, we or society force feeds a life we aren't meant for, questioning why we do this. It is a good thing to question why we or society do things to understand.

We are all striving to answer the questions; you are asking in this poem. We as poets often think more about this then a normal person. I know I just inferred poets are abnormal, well sorry we are not in the center of the bell curve we are on the fringes. Your writing is short and has a great impact in its words. I like it. Thanks for sharing it.

Well done.

I think if we don't find something to hold on to, something that ignites our passion, this is what we're driven too in our heads. A very honest question with answers we won't know the answers to while we're here, if ever. Very well phrased and relatable.
