We, The Writers

Writers just pen down their emotions,

Sometimes they can portray others’.

Writers spell down the feelings,

And sometimes feel the others’.

They think, they write.

They fail but they fight.

Their ink is their weapon,

And their words are the shield.

Their sentences are the defence,

And the punctuation make them heal.

Their stanzas are their memories,

And their pages are the diaries.

Their power to write may change the world,

But their emotions to write could create a new world.

Like every element has its own big bang theory,

Every writer has its own story.

Every song is sung in a melody,

And every poem is written in some memory.

YES!!! So very much true. :) I really like the parts about portraying emotions, writing being both a "weapon" and a "shield," and creating "a new world" through words. And I had to laugh at the line "And the punctuation make[s] them heal" (you've got "make" instead of "makes" in the poem... typo, possibly?) The only reason I found it funny is that, if you look at a lot of the writing that is shared on this site, our biggest downfall as a collective community of writers is grammar. Specifically, punctuation. So maybe, if punctuation heals us, our ineptitude in using it correctly explains why we continue to see so many dark, depressing poems on this site. XD Sorry, that wasn't all that funny. But it amused me when I read it. Overall, this is a lovely poem - very true, and very relatable. Nice work!
