The Fair MirrorA Poem by iamshadowine
I
stood in front of the mirror looking at my face, What
pretty eyes, But
there was no one to say. I
stood in front of the mirror, With
a pretty dress on, I
didn’t look ugly, I
wish I had a lover, To
say that ‘you are my somebody’. I
stood in front of the mirror Copying
the famous girl’s make up, Oh!
I looked pathetic with the fake beauty on the cover. I
stood in front of the mirror, Looking
at my smile I
wished I looked like the famous and started to cry. I
stood in front of the mirror, Wiping
off my tears, Saying
there’s going to be a day, There
is going to be your name, But
today you just have to be yourself © 2016 iamshadowine |
