A Story by Jade
"

Have you ever felt so low about yourself that you just shut down? A numb feeling runs through you until every nerve is nonexistent.

"
The scarlet blood in my veins runs cold. My fingertips are achingly numb. My heart hurts like a mallet pounded until there was nothing left to pound but mush.

This woman held the handle of the bloody mallet with both hands. She never stopped to think about what she was doing. Not once did she wonder "maybe this will be too much." She didn't stop until my heart was broken beyond repair.

Now I am numb. I am nothing but an empty shell. My soul is weak without its mate, its partner that kept my body going.

All because of this woman, the woman I knew would never hurt me, shattered my very being with just eight words. "I want you to earn it, smart a*s."

Jade
I really wrote this because I needed someone to vent to. No other rhyme or reason.

This is vague. Who is the woman? Who is the mate?
As long as you were venting I guess it doesn't matter?

I did. Despite any vagueness, you have good descriptions and seem to be articulate as well as carefu.. read more
