Frozen

Frozen

A Poem by sandra

frozen
only in parts
some pieces still raw
do not thaw
what is left
numb in the ice
secrets live
where monsters hide
their poison
safely
the blame
can leak free
to burn the lips
from where
it falls
patiently
the air stays frigid
hopefully
I shiver

Sometimes you think some parts in your soul are frozen.. until they start beating again
numb doesn't mean dead
