A Poem by sandra

What to do

when love like cancer grows

eating away your soul

and cutting short your goals.

Where to go

When all you see is him

and earthquakes live within

around and on your skin

What to say

when you can't say goodbye

because the taste will leave you dry

But you know damn well it's time

Who can stand still

at a time like this

When he's all around

but he can't be found

and you’re not sure what you'd miss

Still the crime is left unspoken

You feel stupid, spent and broken

but...

What could you do?

Where could you go?

What would you say?

And so you stay.
