The little voice

The little voice

A Poem by Liz Alexander

There a little voice
In the back of my mind
Telling that he doesn't like me
A voice discouraging me
For the past month
The voice was silenced
A sweet month was it silenced
I fell into a  Peaceful  rest
Where I didn't care about him

After the month
Friends pointed out
That I should have gone
For him
I would have won
Little by little I start caring
About him
The voice appears
In the back of my mind
Once again

This voice is her
That taunts me
With the fact
'He doesn't like you'
A voice
Who loves to point out
Him and her together
The voice
Is her
In the him and her
The voice in the back
Of my mind is her

Finished: 4-22-12
Inspired by: Jonas, her

Love can drive us to madness. I did like the poem. Sometime we have no control over thoughts and actions. I like the internal thoughts and the strong ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
