The promise of a rainbow

The promise of a rainbow

A Poem by Liz Alexander
"

This is a Sequal to my older poem http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/Catlady/412751/

"
Disappoint is on her brow
The one thing
She was hoping left her in disappoint
It's been many years
Since she stopped dancing in the rain
Now this one moment
She once again wanted
Her old friends thunder
Would appear and the rain will fall
 So she can reunite
With her dance
Before the tears
That are threatening to fall
The best part of all the times
She danced in the rain
Would be
Once the storm clouds cleared
A rainbow shining out from cloud
The promise
Which can not be broken

 Finished: 2-8-12

Our perceptions of life can be sway how we see the world... love always makes things brighter and heartache dims our hearts vision.
