A wheel of life

A wheel of life

A Poem by Liz Alexander

The wheel of the life

Looking the reflection
That the mirror
Has laid out before me
Do I like what lays
Before my eyes

The tolls of stress and fears
Are evidence in reflection
Things that I have tired to hide
From the world
It's all clear in this mirror

I cannot hide anything from him
The one who molded me
He is the one who drawled the image
That I am
The Lord my God

He was the one that
Add a speckle of  brown
In my bluish gray eyes
He is the one
Who gave me blonde hair

In this reflection
I see what he sees
When he looks at me
One of his own children
Simple as that

As I slowly give him
The wheel to the car of life
My worries about school melt away
I let him drive me to the right guy
That he has planned for me

I walk from the mirror
But I don't leave him there
For he comes with me
Learning to give him
The wheel of the life

A very strong and positive poem. Need to have faith and hope to survive in this world. Last line could flow a little easier.
"For he comes with me
Learning to give him
My thanks and joy in a new day."
Thank you for sharing your excellent poem.
