A Poem by Liz Alexander

35%

Days go on
But this attraction remains
Every dream passes on
But one remains
Closing my eyes
I can picture
Him and me living together
In harmony and love

Friends correct me
When I say I have 2% chance
I push it up to 25%
Someone asked me
"you really like him?"
And I replied with a "yes"
I am quiet with my hope to him
He hasn't caught on

Birthday passed without
A happy birthday from him
Not that I was expecting one
Just whispers on the wind hopes
Wishes on the clock
Some may never come true
One of my friends pointed out
U have about a 35% chance

Percentages and love. I don't believe you can predict? Love need luck and good timing. Two people wanting the same thing at the same time. I do like the way you wrote the poem. The truth is the two people involve can improve the chance of success with real kindness and love. Thank you for a excellent poem.
