Till the end comes

Till the end comes

A Poem by Liz Alexander

I don’t want to feel this

A small spark

In the inside

Looking a way doesn’t help

A mind will still wander….back

The mind repeats

“He doesn’t invoke feeling in you”

“He is nothing to you”

While the heart pumps a mile

The eye closes and shows a picture

The picture show a guy standing

With a smile

That rips the heart to shreds

Slow the eyes open again

To show the reality

The mind was totally wrong

“He is not nothing to you”

The heart says

“He is everything to you”

The body falls to the ground

The tears flowing from the eyes

Till the end comes

Easy to get twisted when it come to love. The story was strong in the poem. Easy to hold on to a bit of hope. A very sad ending to a powerful poem.
