Ever

Ever

A Chapter by Liz Alexander

Her point of view

I love the sky above

When I am not studying

For classes

Is to stare above

To the clouds

Looking for his face

It’s the beauty that

God has made

He become more busy

Up to a point where

We talk once a week

At the most

He still texts  me

When he not busy

I get text like

I am sorry babe

I just seem to avoid him

Most times

Our classes just don’t seem

To connect

Once at all

If we are talking

We try to forget

All anger and frustion

Of the week

Will pour out

It is our time

One of my friends

Took me out to dinner

Tonight as we chatted

I slipped the secret

That been a burden

On my heart

Her mouth is open

In shock

She finally understands

Why him?

She has been

In a distant relationship

Her humor cheers me up

When we remise

Of awkward situations

We used to get our selves into

I hear a voice

That recently has haunted

My dreams

I turn and look

Seeing him

Standing at the entrance

He is with the moody cowboy

My mind wondering

Why would he come

To town when

He has school till Friday

I turn around

To meet my friends eyes

Her eyes tell me

She didn’t know

I whisper Are you done?

She nods

The look on her face asks

You aren’t going to say hi

Not now I said

As we left

Leaving the money

On the table

He looked towards me

I was trying to hide my face

Conceal my blue storming eyes

From his Chocolate ones

When we get out side

I see the car that has taken me

To school time and time again

Flash backs turn in my mind

I run to the car

While we drive

Hiding the rain drops

Holding them in

I get to my favorite spot

Waiting for me is

A single rose

I look around

For the source

As I lay my head down

Later

I hear the voice singing

The one in my dreams

As he lays down beside me

We look up to the sky

The moon

Staring down at us

I lay my head

On his shoulder

I ask Why?

When we are together? I am not lonely.

And we aren’t on a verge of a fight

He kisses my head

Before he adds

Yes I get lonely

I say

I don’t want to fight

I pause looking at him

As I whisper

Ever
